THE MISSIONEncourage, equip, and empower the youth of Alaska by building healthy relationships, teaching practical life skills, and by sharing the love of Jesus.

THE VISION The vision for THE COMPASS is to see the next generation of youth rise up and become who God created them to be. We believe that in many cases, the low expectations and the destructive strongholds of society hold our youth back. At THE COMPASS, we seek to empower youth to make good life choices, develop practical life skills, build Godly character, and to then go out serving and leading in Alaska and beyond.

Extended Vision
Relational
We believe that the best place to start in building a relationship with someone is to truly care about and love them. At The Compass, we strive to meet each individual where they are at in life with open arms. The Compass is to be a safe place where all youth are welcome. We then want to help teach them truth and walk with them through life's struggles and important decisions.
Practical
In today's world of social media, cell phones, and video games, many youth struggle to develop the practical life skills to help them succeed. At The Compass, we want to encourage youth to discover what they are passionate about and to work towards achieving those dreams. Some of the practical programs The Compass plans to offer are responsible financial management, creative arts, mechanics, academic tutoring, career planning, and more.
Spiritual
We strongly believe that the foundation to joy, peace, and true success in life is to follow Jesus and keep his commands. Trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, and caring are vitally important character traits in becoming who we are called to be. At The Compass, we will not only teach these character traits to the youth but we will also lead by example and strive to display them in our own lives at The Compass, in our homes, and in our community.
Community
The vision of The Compass is to positively impact the community as a whole. We will look for opportunities to be involved in community projects and help those in need. We also wish to open The Compass Cafe during youth center off hours. We want to offer a welcoming place for people in the community to converse and build relationships over a cup of coffee and a muffin.
Church
At The Compass, it is our goal to help support and build up the local church. We are a non-denominational Christian organization and wish to bring people and churches together in building relationships with youth and walking with them through the teenage years. We encourage youth leaders and others to volunteer at the youth center.
