We meet each youth right where they are and encourage their growth toward a brighter future for themselves and our communities. Here, we want to highlight who they are, their interests and achievements, and the ways they are becoming
who they were created to be.
who they were created to be.
James LathemJames is an energetic 14-year old student who lives in Nikiski, cares about other people, and loves being at THE COMPASS. James spent every chance he could over the last summer helping work on the facility and would often invite his friends to join him.
James recently got his food handlers cards so he could help work the snack bar during youth Drop-In. When one of his peers is in need of a drink, snack or some free popcorn, like any superhero, James is always there to help! James loves to create and build things where he can use his mind and his hands. He is constantly coming up with interesting ideas and projects. In the future, he may pursue engineering or a similar field. We appreciate James and enjoy having his good attitude and helping hands around. Thank you, James! |
