Todd Brigham

Executive   Director

Todd was born in Colorado but grew up in Nikiski, AK.  He is a follower of Jesus, husband, and father of three awesome kids.  He received an engineering degree from LeTourneau University, worked in Wisconsin for a couple years, and then moved back to Alaska where he has worked for Tesoro and ConocoPhillips.  He enjoys sports and the outdoors but his true passion is helping youth to rise up, find purpose, and be who God created them to be.  Todd has been able to fulfill this passion by serving at a 180 youth ministry in Wisconsin and by serving as the youth leader at Lighthouse Community Church in Nikiski.   These experiences, combined with the desire to see youth succeed in life, helped lead to the founding of The Compass.

Emily Brigham

Administrative  Director

Emily was born and raised in Nikiski, AK.  She is a follower of Jesus, a wife and a mom.  She enjoys reading, crafting and camping with her family.  In 2005, while in college she married Todd Brigham.  Emily received a Interdisciplinary Bachelors degree, featuring Finance, Christian Ministries, and Spanish, from LeTourneau University in Longview,TX.  They moved to Wisconsin where she worked at a preschool until she had their first child.  Shortly after that they moved to Alaska, where she has been a stay at home mom to three wonderful kids.  She has had a heart for youth since college and has been able to serve in that area intermittently.  She is now able to focus on youth more fully through The Compass.

Aura  Petrick

Drop-In  Coordinator

Aura grew up in Nikiski.  She gave her life to Jesus when she was young and was involved in local youth groups and THE COMPASS ministry while in High School.  After she graduated, she went off to Bible School to get a degree in Christian Ministries.  In 2024, Aura came on staff at THE COMPASS as Drop-In Coordinator and builds relationships and pours into the lives of young people.  Aura is raising missionary support and is very thankful for all those that partner with her in ministry to the youth of Alaska.  If you would like to partner with Aura click the button below.  Thank you!

​Jessica Doth

Summer  Navigate  Outdoors  Coordinator

Jessica joined THE COMPASS team in 2021 as our Program Manager and now works at the local middle/high school.  She loves outdoor adventure with the youth and is helping plan and lead THE COMPASS summer outdoor adventure program.  She has lived much of her life here in Nikiski but has also lived in the lower 48 and in a remote Alaskan village.  She loves Jesus and is passionate about investing in the lives of young people.  She was a director for another after-school program in the past and brings a lot of experience, knowledge, and ideas for running programs.  Jessica is married to Jake Doth who is a science teacher at the Middle School here in Nikiski.  Jessica and Jake have two awesome boys and their family loves sports, the outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.
